Providing dogs with a liquid topper that makes their food more enjoyable, hydrates them AND delivers a nutritional boost at the same time is the brainchild of our founder Geoff Bowers. For over 20 years, he's been learning from nature, and developing products that help dogs thrive, naturally.

The real hero of the Totoniks story is our nutrient-rich venison blood. Incredibly, Totoniks is the first product to make use of this amazing ingredient. It's one of those commonsense things nobody ever thought of:

We don’t believe in shipping water around the place. We let you add it at home. It’s a smarter, more sustainable way to reduce waste and shrink our environmental pawprint.
Recycled packaging
Our packaging is designed for sustainability: recyclable boxes, wrappers, glass bottles, and soft plastic sachets. Lightweight and low-waste, it cuts down our carbon footprint too.
Our roots
Totoniks’ roots are firmly planted in New Zealand soil. In Māori language, 'toto' means blood, a powerful life-force that connects with ancestors, land, and spiritual essence. Providing dogs with blood-based nutrition, plus other ingredients from the land and sea around these islands, in a way that safeguards the environment rather than harms it, fits in with these cultural principles.

Geoff Bowers
FOUNDER & CEO
Geoff is one of life's true innovators, full of inspiring passion and bright ideas, especially when it comes to dogs. A former soldier and police dog-handler, he's seen how dogs behave in all sorts of extreme situations, and it's probably fair to say he trusts them more than humans. He founded K9 Natural in 2008 and started the raw food revolution. He lives in Christchurch with his partner Rochelle and a brood of six griffon rescues and counting…
Sally Nash & Murray Grossmith
CREATIVE DIRECTORS
Originally from the UK, Sally and Murray have lived in New Zealand for nearly 20 years, raising three children on a lifestyle block at the foot of Christchurch's Port Hills. They have extensive experience in bringing young brands to life, as well as rejuvenating older ones. They have worked together for the past 13 years. Sally grew up with a crazy Welsh springer spaniel… and then more reliable golden retrievers.
Shane Bartlett

Shane lives by the beach in Brighton, Christchurch, with his wife Milena and their rescue dogs, Frankie and Douglas. He has serious pet industry credentials and knowledge, plus a wealth of international contacts, having spent several years at Natural Pet Food Group working on K9 Natural. Totoniks is his new passion – he's seen what it has done for his dogs, and he wants to share that with the world.
