About Totoniks

Actions speak louder than words, and your dog already knows it.

We believe care is something you show every day. That’s why we don’t just say we love dogs, we PROVE it. Through providing nourishment, consistency, and trust, we deliver the kind of care your dog can feel in every bowl.

Everything we do puts care first: from using simple, natural ingredients to running our business with sustainability at its heart.

All our ingredients deliver functional support alongside delicious flavour, but the real hero is our nutrient-rich venison blood. Usually discarded to pollute our waterways, we rescue this natural protein powerhouse and put it to good use, supporting your dog’s health AND caring for the environment at the same time.

For over 20 years, we've been learning from nature, developing products that help dogs thrive, reduce waste, and help restore balance to both dogs and the environment. What’s good for our dogs should be good for the world too.

And because you're here, we know you care too – so let’s make some tails wag!
With so many dogs on dry food diets, vets are reporting an alarming increase in dehydration.

Totoniks supports hydration, and other aspects of dog wellbeing, while also caring for the planet.

Bloody brilliant!

It is the blood component that sets Totoniks apart from other products. It instinctively draws dogs to the Totoniks formula. They can clearly sense the goodness it provides: hydrating, nourishing, and supporting key functions like digestion, joint health, and energy, all of which are essential for a long, happy life. With every drop, you'll see the difference in your dog’s vitality and happiness.

Our philosophy

Dogs are more than just family

Totoniks knows dogs are more than just pets: they're our teachers, protectors, best friends, and the heartbeat of our homes. Our founder Geoff has spent his life working alongside dogs, from training life-saving medical alert dogs to leading world-first scent detection projects. His decades of experience as a police dog-handler showed one undeniable truth: dogs give us everything, without hesitation.
We want to reflect that devotion right back at these amazing animals. We’re not just making supplements, we’re honouring the loyalty, love, and quiet heroism dogs show us every day. Our products are carefully designed to support not just physical health, but their emotional wellbeing too. We know how deeply a dog’s natural playfulness, trust, and presence can transform a family.

The roots of our brand

What does Totoniks mean?

Our roots are firmly planted in New Zealand soil. In Māori language 'toto' doesn't just mean blood, it is considered a powerful life force that connects with ancestors, land, and spiritual essence. This belief is deeply rooted in the concept of “tapu” (sacredness) and “mana” (spiritual power or authority). Providing dogs with blood-based nutrition, plus other ingredients from the land and sea around these islands, in a way that safeguards the environment rather than harms it, fits alongside these cultural principles.
